The workers’ compensation court in Lebanon, New Jersey, is one of the least busy hearing sites in the state, but attorneys in the area are fighting tooth and nail to keep it open.
Brian Murray, a spokesperson for the state Department of Labor, said Monday that the state’s decision to close the hearing site isn’t final yet, but noted that the Lebanon court has 3,853 active cases – roughly 25% of which are from nearby counties that have lost their hearing sites in the past 15 years.
