BWC Issues Reminder About New Fee Schedule Rules

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation medical fee schedule rules take effect on Sunday, and the Bureau has produced a bullet-point summary to help explain the changes. The fee schedule rules are effective for services rendered on or after Sunday, regardless of injury date. Among the provisions, the rules require the authorized treating physician to see an injured worker at least every 60 days if the injured worker is receiving temporary disability payments, to assess progress toward return to work.
