The Workers' Compensation Action Network said that a repackaged-drug regulation that went into effect on Thursday strikes the right balance between convenience and cost-savings.
The regulation requires that drugs dispensed in their offices by physicians be in accordance with the Medicare fee schedule, plus a dispensing fee of $7.25 for physicians. Skilled nursing facilities will be allowed to charge an $8 dispensing fee.
