The Missouri Senate’s Small Business Committee on Tuesday held a hearing on a bill that would bar insurers for charging additional premium to employers who pay employees bonuses or contribute to their retirement plans.
Senate Bill 735, by Dave Schatz, R-Sullivan, would direct the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Regulation to bar any workers’ comp policies that include bonuses of less than 3% of salary or contributions to legally authorized individual retirement accounts in payroll amounts.
