Two Practitioners Lose Authorization to Treat Injured Workers

A physician has lost her authorization to treat injured workers over alleged misconduct, while a psychologist voluntarily resigned his privileges to treat workers and perform independent medical examinations. Dr. Dayna McCarthy is banned from treating injured workers as of Oct. 5, and any reports she submits on that date or afterward are invalid, the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board said in Subject No. 046-987.
