Gov. Nathan Deal has nominated the former House majority caucus counsel as a director to the three-member Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation.
Benjamin J. Vinson, a partner with the Atlanta law firm of Dentons US LLP, will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Director Harrill Dawkins.
The board administers the Workers’ Compensation Act and hears appeals from the board’s Hearing Division.
Vinson also served Gov. Sonny Purdue as a counsel to the legislature, providing legal and policy advice.
