Bulletin Requires Use of Updated NAIC Accounting Manual

The Arkansas Insurance Department issued a bulletin Monday to notify domestic insurers and other domestic reporting entities that they are to use the most recent 2008 edition of the Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for annual reports filed with the department.The department reported the notice is required by Arkansas law to allow the insurance commissioner to specify use of the most recent edition of the manual.
