A Texas appellate court on Thursday booted a tort suit by two out-of-state workers seeking a recovery for their injuries from a refinery fire in Kansas.
Although the refinery maintained its executive offices in Texas, and the plaintiffs blamed poor management decisions for causing the pump failure that started the fire, the 4th District Court of Appeals said that Kansas maintained a stronger interest in adjudicating the dispute.
