Claims handlers in Oregon do not need an employer’s injury report in order to accept a claim form signed by a worker, the Workers’ Compensation Division said in an industry notice.
Claims processors that refuse to accept the injured worker's report because they have not received the employer’s report could face civil penalties, the division added.
