Hearing Set for Monday on Fee Schedules

The South Dakota Division of Labor and Management is reminding stakeholders that it will hold a public hearing Monday on new workers' compensation fee schedules and new conversion factors for some medical services.

The conversion factor used to determine maximum reimbursements would rise slightly for most procedures. For surgeries, classed under current procedural terminology numbers 10000 to 69999, for example, the factor would rise, from $100.29 to $100.80, according to the proposed fee schedule.

The hearing will be at 2 p.m. at the division offices. Comments will be accepted until May 19 and can be sent to the South Dakota Division of Labor and Management, 123 W. Missouri Ave., Pierre, South Dakota 57501.
