A New York appellate court on Thursday ruled that the members of the defunct Healthcare Industry Trust of New York should have been allowed to proceed with their claim of deceptive business practices against the insurance brokers who allegedly talked them into joining the group self-insurance program.
The Healthcare Industry Trust of New York was established in 1999 as a risk-pooling arrangement for members of the health care industry. Compensation Risk Managers administered the trust.
