As part of its annual medical fee schedule update, the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is also proposing changes that would require the use of ICD-10 codes and establish reimbursement rules for over-the-counter medications.
Proposed rules would adjust several conversion factors that are used to calculate reimbursement rates under the state’s Resource-Based Relative Value Scale fee schedule.
The conversion factor for radiology will drop to $71.99 from $93 under the proposal. And the factor for pathology would be lowered to $68.31 from $77.62.
