Woman Sentenced for Collecting Welfare and Comp Benefits

An Ossian woman has been sentenced to three years of probation for collecting welfare benefits while simultaneously collecting workers’ compensation benefits. Rose M. Upright, 62, was convicted of fifth-degree welfare fraud, a misdemeanor, and also was ordered to pay restitution of more than $8,600, the Livingston County News reported.
