McCarty Approves 18.6% Cut

Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty made it official Wednesday and issued a final approval of an amended rate filing by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) that calls for reducing worker's compensation rates by 18.6% effective Jan. 1.But McCarty warned the good news for employers may change because of the Florida Supreme Court's Oct. 23 ruling in Emma Murray v.
