Assembly Passes Janitorial Employee Presumption Bill

The California Assembly passed a bill that would create a rebuttable presumption that people working for registered janitorial firms are employees and not contractors. The Assembly on Monday voted 57-7 to pass AB 2496 by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, D-San Diego.
