I have been reviewing various pleadings around the state recently. I have seen some curious items worthy of discussion. Perhaps someone out there can explain them to me. I initially tended to believe that these were odd and exceptional errors, but the frequency suggests that they are not singular, exceptional filings.  I find that most of the settlement filings include something labelled "general document filing." I cannot find any rule or statute supporting the filing of this superfluous and redundant document. It appears to be a repetition of information from the fee data...
