Two Convicted in $30M Compounding Scheme

The owner of a compounding pharmacy in Pompano Beach, Florida, and his employee have been convicted of health care fraud and conspiracy in a scheme that resulted in more than $30 million in losses to the federal Tricare benefit program. Following a one-month trial, a federal jury on Sept. 5 found guilty Serge Francois, who owned and operated Atlantic Pharmacy and Compounding, and pharmacy employee Patrick Tonge.
