Buffalo Woman Pleads to Collecting Benefits While Running Business

A Buffalo woman has pleaded guilty to defrauding the New York workers' compensation system of more than $48,000, having collected $319 a week in benefits while making thousands from selling products on eBay, according to the New York State Inspector General's office. Caroline Jankowski, 44, injured her back in 2012 while working at a nursing home. While collecting benefits, she continued her internet business on eBay and earned nearly $53,000  from it.
