The TIAA-CREF Pension Fund announced Tuesday that its chief financial officer, Elizabeth A. Monrad, is taking an unpaid leave of absence after receiving notice that regulators are considering enforcement action against her in connection with her prior position at General Re Corp.
Monrad has advised TIAA-CREF that she received a "Wells" notice from the enforcement staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said in a press release.
