An order issued by U.S. District Court Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein for the Southern District of New York set a date certain for victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center to decide whether to seek a remedy for damages by filing a lawsuit against the airlines or a claim with the federal Victim Compensation Fund.
