Labor Leader Urges Approval of State OSHA

The Texas AFL-CIO marked the second anniversary of the BP refinery explosion in Texas City by calling for a state occupational safety and health administration to encourage better safety practices at Texas oil refineries. Labor officials joined with relatives of victims of the March 23, 2005, disaster at a ceremony at the State Capitol commemorating the event. The explosion killed 15 workers and injured 180.
