Court Hearing Continues on 32.9% Rate Hike

The long-anticipated workers' compensation rate hearing on a proposed 32.9% increase continues today in a South Carolina administrative law court. The National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI) proposed the 32.9% increase in workers' compensation loss-cost rates -- a rate one witness for the state testified is too low, much to the chagrin of employer and business groups who also are participating.
