Maid Service Not Included in Benefits, N.C. Court Says

A wheelchair-bound claimant must continue to pay for maid service from her wage-replacement income, the North Carolina Court of Appeals decided in denying her request for the benefit. The court affirmed the denial of benefit to Doris Simmons, who was awarded benefits for permanent and total disability compensation for the rest of her life.
