Health Care Fees Go Unchallenged in Workshop

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) held a workshop Tuesday on its 2007 reimbursement manual for health care providers with no serious questions. The manual, which would be implemented under Rule 69L-7.020, would update 2006 fees based on a formula that allows 110% of Medicare fees for physician services and 140% of Medicare fees for surgical services. Insurers asked for clarifications on some of the coding systems used to bill for services.
