On-Job Insurance Up to General Contractor

The general contractor is the statutory employer in the event of an injury accident by an uninsured subcontractor, a Pennsylvania court has ruled. The Commonwealth Court of Pennsyslvania, in an opinion not reported, found against Tim Britton Construction and the State Fund in Tim Britton Construction v. Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, no.
