LAPD Arrest One Of Its Own for Comp Fraud

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested one of its own members Friday after the Los Angeles County District Attorney filed felony workers' compensation fraud charges against a North Hollywood Division detective. 40 year-old Detective Rocky E. Sherwood of North Hills was charged with one felony count of workers' compensation fraud. If convicted, Sherwood faces a maximum penalty of five years in state prison and a fine up to $50,000 - or double the amount of the fraudulent claims.
