California State Compensation Insurance Fund said Wednesday it will extend credit to policyholders with financial losses because of the Southern California wildfires.
State Fund said has more than 100,000 policyholders in the seven counties where wind-driven brush fires have burned 674 square miles since Sunday. Seven counties -- Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura -- had fires burning as of Wednesday.
State Fund will work with its policyholders who are unable to report payroll figures or submit payments because of the fire emergency.
