On September 14, just before adjourning its session for the year, the CA Assembly sent to Governor Davis AB 1176 (Calderon, D-Montebello), a companion bill to SB 71 on Saturday.
Calderon's bill is in response to the governor's comments that any workers' compensation bill that he signs needs to be more balanced, and the impression that SB 71 is too one sided in favor of labor.
