In a complete reversal, SB 1829, the bill introduced by California Senator Richard Polanco, was amended on 4/1 to provide that payment for the one time settlement of a vocational rehabilitation case may be up to $12,000, up from the original $5000, and existing law (yet to be effective) of $10,000 as introduced by AB 749.
