The Texas Medical Board reported Thursday a board panel suspended the license (No. E6093) of Dr. Ramiro Hernandez of Orange after determining that his continuation in the practice of medicine "presents a continuing threat to the public welfare."
A temporary suspension hearing was held Wednesday, with the suspension being effective immediately.
The board reported the action was based on findings that Hernandez's pattern of practice constituted non-therapeutic prescribing of narcotics, benzodiazepines and muscle relaxant medications.
