New York Governor George Pataki (R) last week signed into law the structured settlement bill that will make it more difficult for structured settlement recipients to become unwitting victims of unscrupulous factoring companies.The bill, sent to the Governor's desk July 10, is supported by the American Insurance Association to provide protection for the recipients of structured settlements.
