A month-long re-inspection of Pennsylvania's underground mines ordered by Gov. Edward Rendell in February after four separate accidents killed 16 miners in West Virginia found the facilities to be operating safely, a statement from the governor's office reported.
"While a substantial number of violations were recorded none posed any safety risk to miners and all were corrected immediately during the re-inspection effort," the statement said.
