A Sacramento appeals court has given anti-SLAPP protection to a team of traveling prosecutors who try employers in rural California counties after injuries and deaths occur on the job.
SLAPP refers to strategic lawsuit against public participation. Under California law, a district attorney or his deputies are immune from SLAPP lawsuits for their actions as prosecutors.
