NYSWCB Annual Report Available

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board placed its 2005 annual report on its Web site. The 68-page report details activities by the agency for the past year, including the processing of more than 312,000 new and reopened cases. The report notes that the Office of Fraud Inspector General was responsible for 110 arrests and prosecutions during the year. Most of the defendants in those cases pleaded guilty after being presented with the evidence against them, the report comments.
