The California Fraud Assessment Commission of the Department of Insurance last Wednesday voted to give the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office $4.3 million this year to fight workers' compensation fraud. The DA's office had asked for $6.3 million, but the allocation is still greater than last year's commitment of $3.7 million.
