Three Boston-area people were indicted Wednesday in what federal authorities described as a payroll scheme that concealed $30 million in wages paid to temporary laborers.
The indictment was handed up in U.S. District Court against Quincy residents Tina Le, Steven Nguyen and Mercedes Tang. A federal grand jury charged them in a 25-count indictment that includes tax evasion, money laundering and mail fraud charges, according the U.S. District Attorney.
Le faces another 13 counts and Nguyen another four counts of filing false tax returns.
