XL Capital Ltd. on Tuesday reported net income available to shareholders of $415.8 million during the third quarter of 2006, compared with a $1.05 billion loss during the same period last year.
Net income excluding net realized gains and losses for the third quarter of 2006 was $468.2 million, or $2.61 per ordinary
share, the company said in a press release. That compared with a net loss of $1,115.0 million, or a net loss of $8.01 per ordinary share, for the prior year period.
