Illinois Governor George H. Ryan announced that the number of workers' compensation cases pending at the Industrial Commission dropped once again. In Fiscal Year 2002, Industrial Commission arbitrators decided, settled, or dismissed nearly 75,000 workers' compensation cases. This reduced the pending caseload by over 2,500 cases.
