The American Insurance Association today praised President George W. Bush for his critical role in shaping the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002, which became law today after the President's signature.
"Members of Congress from both sides of the political aisle worked hard in support of this legislation, but there is no doubt that President Bush was the indispensable catalyst for enactment. His efforts and the resulting terrorism insurance backstop will provide much-needed financial security for all sectors of the American economy," said AIA President Robert E. Vagley.
