City Worker Gets Six Months For Fraud

A Southern California city worker who lied on a workers' compensation claim was sentenced last week to six months in jail and five years probation, the Ventura County Star reported Friday. Robert Galante of Simi Valley was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine. Ventura County Superior Court Judge Rebecca Riley scheduled a March 6 hearing to determine the amount of restitution Galante must pay to his former employer, the city of Glendale, Calif.
