The Missouri Division of Labor Standards' Mine Safety Training Program has teamed up with the Division of Workforce Development's Career Centers to provide free mine training to individuals looking for work in the mining industry.
Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Director Rod Chapel said the classes "will give people the necessary certification to begin a career in the mining industry."
Mine Safety Training instructors will provide 24 hour mining courses for surface mines and 40 hour mining courses for underground mines.
