Four Penn. Employers Sentenced for No Comp

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry on Thursday announced sentences were handed down to four employers for failing to keep workers' compensation coverage on employees. Judge Linda K.M. Ludgate sentenced Pheezk Inc., owned by Amad Mahmood of West Reading, in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas. Pheezk pleaded guilty to one third-degree misdemeanor for failing to insure its workers' compensation liability, and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and prosecution costs.
