Calif. 2nd Certifies Venue-Transfer Case for Publication

The California 2nd District Court of Appeal certified for publication an opinion that rejected a Santa Barbara County man's argument for why he filed his claim in the next-closest county instead of his own jurisdiction. The appellate court on Oct. 23 issued an order that Don Kerr's claim for an industrial hip injury be transferred from the Grover Beach Workers' Compensation Appeals Board to the court in Goleta.
