Liberty Mutual Gets Bulk of Fines in Disciplinary Orders

Liberty Mutual and its subsidiaries received the lion's share of $684,877 in penalties imposed by the Texas Division of Workers' Compensation this week. The city of San Antonio was also fined $15,000 in disciplinary orders issued after DWC audits in August and September. The agency posted the actions on its Web site late Wednesday. Liberty Insurance Corp., Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. were listed among companies cited in four separate orders, which carried total fines of $425,000.
