Minix Resigns as Director of Crawford & Co

Grover L. Davis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA CRDB), announced that Forrest L. Minix has submitted his resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of Crawford & Company, effective December 31, 2002. In his letter to the Board, Mr. Minix stated that he was resigning to allow the Board an opportunity to increase the number of independent directors.
