A workers compensation reform bill unanimously passed out of the Florida House Insurance Committee Feb. 20 is a significant step toward turning around the state's troubled insurance market, but still needs additional work, according to the Alliance of American Insurers.
The measure voted upon was PCB 02-02a, the committee's workers compensation reform bill. The bill closely follows the recommendations of the Coalition of Business and Insurance Industry, of which the Alliance is a leading member.
