L.A. Fire Captain's Special Duty Passes FEHA Muster

A county fire department's assignment of a disabled captain to special duty rather than to run a station did not discriminate against him under the federal Fair Employment and Housing Act, a California appeals court ruled. The 2nd District Court of Appeal, Division 1 sided with Los Angeles County Fire Department and decided Friday to publish its decision on allegations of discrimination under FEHA. Capt.
