FPIC Reports Modest Net Income Gain for 4Q

FPIC Insurance Group on Friday reported a slight gain in net income for the fourth quarter of 2006, and a larger profit gain for the full year due in large part to discontinued operations. FPIC said net income for the fourth quarter was $9.4 million, or 89 cents per diluted common share, up from $9.3 million, or 86 cents per share, for fourth quarter 2005. For the full year, net income was $51.6 million, or $4.83 per diluted common share, up from $35 million, or $3.26 per share, in 2005.
