HCA received the 2005 Theodore Roosevelt Workers' Compensation and Disability Management Award for the private sector last week in Chicago.
Risk & Insurance magazine presents the award annually to companies that have exceptional employee injury prevention and return-to-work programs. The award is named for President Theodore Roosevelt, who signed the first federal workers' compensation legislation.
Companies are judged based on performance, teamwork, communication and documented tangible results.
