The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued nine citations with $61,300 in fines against Shipman Inc. of Hueytown, Ala., after a worker died from a fall at the company's worksite in Hueytown.
OSHA launched an investigation in response to the June 13 accident that took place as employees of the company were erecting a prefabricated metal building.
A worker lost his balance and fell more than 30 feet to a concrete floor, OSHA reported.
Shipman was issued two repeat citations with penalties totaling $39,500 for alleged safety and health standards.
